Re: Penetration Testing

Thank you all for your recommendations. Most useful.

I will have a go at Nesus and nmap.

Obviuosly, Googling is the first thing that comes up to everyone's mind.

But when you don't have time to research in an area which you are not
a speciliast (otherwise I would not be asking) one should humbly ask
for help (one of the purposes of a mailing list) so experts can point
you in the right direction.

That's why I love theses lists.

Thank you.

Alex

I am sure you have been asked this question a zillion of times and I
sware that I searched the list history, as far as my records go, and I
could not find the answer.

I am looking for a tool which is able port scan an Internet connection
externally and analyse each opened port assessing the potential
vulnerabilities of the running opened.

It has to be free, open source or a one-shot fully working trial. Is xscan
good?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Alex
