Hi all,
Does anyone ever used Windows Vista for pen-testing/security assessment?
I just got a new laptop from company that seems to have many
compatibility issues with linux distributions and miss some drivers
for XP.

Re: Install XP on a Vista laptop? ... Now I'm in the market for a new laptop.... I'm curious about removing the OEM Vista and replacing it with my XP Pro ... If there are no XP drivers, then you can't install XP. ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.general)

Re: XP and Vista ... However, my wife has a laptop also, which was pre-loaded with XP Professional. ... The program was designed to run in XP, and does not do well with Vista.... If WinXP do device drivers exist, purchase a legitimate license for WinXP Pro to install.... Most likely the laptop has SATA drives and the SATA hard drives do not emulate an IDE drive in the bios of your HP laptop. ...
