Safe keeping super-user / root IDs

Dear List,
Has any of you come across a good vendor package which can solve the 'super user ID in sealed envelop' problems? Trying to help a client get rid of their envelops and struggle to come up with an option which doesn't require extensive in-house development work. Thanks.
