I think what he's looking for is a *practical* security checklist
review, say against a legitimate company, right? The previous email
sent out was from a gent who had provided a federal government website,
checklist.nist.gov, as a viable resource. After reviewing the website's
documentation repository, I ahve found that many are links elsewhere.
For example, the DNS security review checklist for BIND 9.2.1 (and
greater) may be found here:
http://iase.disa.mil/stigs/checklist/dns_v2r1.3-checklist_080805.doc.
The document is *very* extensive, but some of the information goes into
military aspects (includes "MAC" or "Mandatory Access Control") and
their privileges. To the private sectored companies, this has no
meaning and might be irrelevant.
However, having a base security level that is based from a DoD
"guideline" would *still* be a "good thing", wouldn't you agree?

Well you would need to be a bit more specific of what you want to do?------------------------------------------------------------------------
