Everybody talks about remote control. Are you allowed to hack the machine physically? Is that in the scope of the challenge by your boss?
Burn Ophcrack into a CD, pop it into the laptop to crack the admin password. Manually turn on the mic and while you are at it, plant any remote control software that you want so that you can log in again remotely if need be.
Don't blame me if you get a pink slip though.
