    All,
The CEH course has many different vendors and "versions" of
courseware. Some are in serious need of updating, some are designed
just to have you pass the test, others are quite well written. For
those that are written well, you have many other factors that get
thrown into the mix that may help, or hinder you training experience.
One of the most important is the instructor. His experience and
knowledge of pentesting can be a added bonus to the course. And lets
not forget the students themselves. Their experience, drive and
motivation to learn can shape how an instructor will adjust the class
flow and materials as to either go more into detail, or move on to
    the next bit of material.

Evaluate ALL the factors before attending a course of any kind, not
    just CEH.

I just wanted to second this comment, the course certainly needs
work, and a fair percentage of it does need updating. And I feel
from an ethical hacking / penetration testing point of view quite a
lot of it should be cut out as well.

Which is a shame really as the intent of the course and its overall
aim are excellent, but unfortunately I can only suggest that you look
elsewhere for an introduction into pentesting.
