I have certainly tried them :) since the tool list is a complimentary to
the "Wi-Foo: The Secrets of Wireless Hacking" book which two of my
colleagues and myself have written.

| hardware dependent, and require old wireless cards.
For most of the tools mentioned you will do with a prism based card.
Old does not necessarily means bad.
