BTW, the latest version of brutus.pl (nothing fancy, but it works) is at:

Hydra from THC (if i remember correctly it's now integrated with Nessus)
it's a very nice multithread bruteforcer. Anyway, you should really try to
do something by yourself, in Perl or in Expect (http://expect.nist.gov/).
