Sorry if it is not the right forum to dig into the topic, but
I think that those "options" are not depending on the bandwith,
but rather on your view on acceptable risk level. Maybe for a
university student lab no logging is an acceptable option, but
in commercial and government environments it isn't. And this
fact depends on a long list of factors. In first shot the list
does not contains the bandwidth. In second, some risk
factors are directly proportional to the bandwith, which means
that the wider your band ;) the more you need controls like
logging.
