You have my condolences. Our CIRT has between 5 and 10 members (none of
whom are full-time dedicated to it - we run on the rescue-squad model of
dealing with things when they happen and then go back to what we're paid
to do), and a user community of around 30K.
If it weren't for the fact that we have a User Services staff that
manages to make the users at least minimally aware of security issues
(in other words, our "average user" has at least *heard* of patches
and anti-virus software ;), we'd be swamped.
