Go with Sunscreen for stateful inspection.
The gui isnīt absolutely necessary, it does have a CLI (but can quickly
become a nightmare for a large rulebase).
I suggest using the GUI for the initial config and then removing it and
using the CLI for minor rule changes.
Solaris 9 includes Sunscreen for free and you can even setup VPNs and
Port NATs without restrictions (there are some restrictions to the
Sunscreen Version included in Solaris 8 - namely, the number of
interfaces (only 2 allowed) and the ammount of NATs (dunno how many)
