Hi Shane,
I have particular good results on UNIces and on Windows platform with a
small tool, called BCWipe. You can get at
http://www.jetico.com/index.htm#/bcwipe_unix.htm. It offers both,
custom wiping settings, US DoD 5200.28-STD and Peter Gutmann's 35 pass
scheme.
Have a go with it!
