Take a look at the Sun Blueprints for hardening and minimization of Solaris
by Alex Noordergraf and Glenn Brunnette. They focus on how to incorporate
these methods into a Jumpstart image, but even if you don't use Jumpstart
you can
use the JASS scripts they have developed.
