About two weeks ago Darren Moffat submitted code to OpenSSH to enable BSM in 3.1p1. You can find his patches at http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2. Yesterday I tried them out (Solaris 8, GCC 2.95.4) and I'm able to get X forwarding and proper BSM credentials (so I can edit cron); I have UseLogin set to no. I suspect that OpenSSH in Solaris 9 will include these patches.
