This is a reply to a somewhat old message, but I
wanted
to make the archives complete since it didn't
appear that
a solution was ever found in the original discussion.

I was having this same error and discovered that it is
caused by gssd being commented out of inetd.conf.
Once you uncomment it and HUP inetd then the share
works fine.
