How does encryption affected to NFS traffic?
I've seen in "Managing NFS and NIS" 2nd edition that
sec=krb5p
makes about 73% of throughout degradation on SUN Ultra5 270MHz/128Mb
Unfortunatly, it's not clear, how this will affect more powerfull
machines.
Also, is it possible to use 3DES instead DES when unsing SecureNFS?
How will it affect perfomance?
Does someone have made such tests?
