I'd suggest a product called Accellion which is a file transfer appliance.
Very good, very secure, many nice features.

Subject: Setup MD5 Checksum for FTP downloads on Win2000 Server OS

    Hi,

We have a Win2000 OS server with FTP services from which our customers and
internal users upload/download their patches, zip & other files.

The upload/download is only thru command prompt or GUI Clients (CuteFTP)
with domain/user authentication. We also monitor the FTP logs + have access
right restrictions on different folders (like no delete, only upload OR no
    upload, only download).

Now I am looking for a way so that the people downloading these files can
also verify the checksum for these downloads - please advice a way.

I've seen Cisco do that via web pages form their sites - is it possible for
    FTP too?
