Runas, when invoked, has the environment variable USERPROFILE set to
"Default User". Normally, software installations triggered through runas
create icons and links on the All Users folder and write autorun entries
(if required by the software) to the HKU\.DEFAULT autorun key.
As for Martin's case, a scheduled task (which launches the scanner
software) that runs everytime the user logs in to the PC (with the HP
scanner) should do the trick.
