    RDP has had its fair share of issues in the past to warrant concern over
    using it in the present.

    TightVNC is no saint either:

    The lesson? Any remote access software is going to be a potential
    security hazard. After securing it as best you can you still have to
    decide whether the increase in convenience and functionality is worth
    the added risk.
