Are you talking about the port that the FPSE website uses? (for FPSE 2002 or
    later?)

If so, I don't follow exactly. It's just a website. You could use IP address
restrictions (configurable via the IIS Manager), or an IPSec policy to limit
connections from an allowed set of addresses (eg 127.0.0.1 only).

Otherwise, if there's some other listener that I'm not aware of, can you
    enlighten me? Thanks

    Cheers
    Ken

: I have found the documentation that says to use
    stsadm.exe -o -setadminport
    :
: -port <port> to change the listener for FrontPage server extension web
    :
    : administration.
    :
: Question. Does anyone know the proper, supported method of killing the
    :
: listener so all administration must be performed locally on the server?
    :
    :
: TIA to anyone who can provide the answer.
