Assuming that it could be done....
If they can open the file to read it, what is to keep them from using the SaveAs feature in the viewing app at the workstation?
Until DRM is deployed widely and can revoke documents and enforce other controls, I cannot see this happening. Of course, as long as analog versions (of music, photo, text..whatever) exist, you can never completely protect your digital works.
You must strike a balance between trusting your users and controlling information.
