The best email gateway software out there is from Trend Micro
(http://www.antivirus.com) - I'v used it successfully for years.However, I
doubt you'll see a large reduction in the amount of spam that gets through.
There are a few problems.
First - spammers are getting more sophisticated as to how they craft their
messages as to bypass content filters.
Second - you have to walk a fine line between blocking the crap and being
too restrictive and blocking valid business email. All too often, legitimate
software gets caught in the filters.
But - from what's out there, Trend is the best I've used, and has never let
me down, but only because I know the limitations of content filters.
