Hi Everyone,
I am considering implementing MBSA and MS Security Tool Kit to secure IIS
installations.
I was looking for ways to script MBSA and the MS Tool Kit install. My
goal here is to get opinions regarding enterprise implementation of these
products.
I like the MS Tool Kit, as it has numerous security updates collected
together, however, I have only done manual installs, which require
numerous reboots.
I would like to find a way to script the MS Security Tool Kit install, run
the MBSA and then address any vulnerabilities. I am specifically looking
for methods of creating .bat or other scripted executable files to MBSA on
a network-wide basis, running the utility on a range of IP address, or on
a list of specified IP address. Has anyone out there done anything like
this efficiently and effectively?
I do not want to have to run these utilities manually on each individual
server.
Please email me or post here with your opinions and comments.
Thank You,
Chad
