John,
Do your users log on to more than one network at a time? If not, excuse the
reply.
I ask because we have users that log on to NT, Netware and have set up
Windows passwords for themselves. Their primary network
logon is Netware. They were constantly complaining this was happening.
Turns out, a user changes his/her NT password but doesn't change the other
passwords. Next time they login, they enter their new NT password in the
Netware logon screen. Error. From that point it's a matter of how many times
they enter the wrong password because they are confused between their new
password (which gave them an error) and their old password (which didn't).
We have found that if we sit them down and have them go through it slowly,
they get it. Until the next time they change a password.

All,
A user is logged in. Said user changes password. User can longer access
network resources and if user logs off and attempts to log back on, they
are told their account has been locked. What is happening is the account is
locked immediately after a password is changed and yes users have their home
drives as well as other drives mapped. Thanks guys
