This is really 2 questions:
1) When using login scripts the shares I've designated in there seem to be
persistent by default. What I mean is the workstations will always try to
re-establish the connections whether the scripts are executed or not. How
do I disable this? The login script will use something similar to:
net use p: \\server\share /user:%USERNAME%
Forgive me if the syntax is slightly off as I'm doing this from memory.
2) I don't want other users to see any persistent shares as it can reveal
boxes and shares they may not know exist. Is this information stored in the
registry somewhere? If so, how do I get rid of it? How do I keep it from
being populated there? Even if the users have no access to aforementioned
boxes, "curiosity killed the cat." You know what I mean?
