Basically I have a W2k server, we took off IIS and put on Apache, php, and
perle. When I go to set perms on the folder, I am having problems with the
groups. If I set the sharing and perms up the way I want them, they work
fine if you use Network Neighborhood, however, if you browse to them using
the web, anyone can create folders, delete folders, etc.
So the NT security is set fine, I am seeing a problem when users browse
through the web. I know you can set protected pages with Apache, but I want
everyone to read not write or delete.
My question is how does Apache do it's security? Can you implement Apache to
use NT security (global and local groups)?
Has anyone had success using the two (Apache and NT with groups) combined?
This may or may not be the place for this question.
Thank you,
Jeremy
