It might be a good idea to capture incoming traffic for some 40 minutes?
Also: update NT4 and IIS with the latest hotfixes (SRP hotfix soon).

Good luck,

Subject: IIS + DOS attacks = headache

I have two NT4 boxes running IIS4 (SP6a, Latest
updates and patches) that are plagued by DOS attacks.

About every 40 mins, IIS shutdowns completely on both
servers (not at the same time, usually 20 mins apart)
and has become such a headache. I am in dire need of a
reliable IDS, but there are several on the market.

Do you have any recomendations? I appreciate it so
much.

Thanx,
Norm
