Hi all,
I would like to ask anyone planning to set up out-of-office software to
ensure that it doesn't generate responses to mailing lists messages. The
purpose of this dilligence is twofold. Firstly, it is not fair to people
who post to this mailing list to be subsequently bombarded with hundreds
of out-of-office messages. Secondly, an out-of-office reply typically
contains a fair amount of information that may be of use to potential
intruders, even if it is only your email address and the date of your
return.
Please configure your vacation software properly, or, if it cannot be
made to recognize mailing list traffic, unsubscribe yourself from this,
and any other, mailing list and resubscribe upon your return.
Kind Regards,
Bartek Kostanecki
