Hi,
LIDS 1.2.2rc1 for kernel 2.4.26 has been released.
LIDS 1.2.2rc1 includes mainly the LIDS TDE application
sandboxing feature: A new option to protect a Linux system by
sandboxing applications. An overview and introduction of
LIDS TDE can be found in
http://www.lids.org/document/LIDS-TDE-feature.txt
The basic rule for a sandboxed application is
"All must be specified!"
This version also fixed bugs on ACL_DISCOVERY related code, LIDS TPE,
lids_attach_task_acl(), lids_alert(), fixed a memory leak in
lids_tde_policy(), and added implicit protection of LIDS admin
password feature and CONFIG_LIDS_ALLOW_LFS.
Thanks to Doug Porter, Huagang Xie for comments on TDE feature,
Markus Engel for reporting bugs on ACL_DISCOVERY, Sander Klein for
raising the issue on LIDS password protection, Omo Kazuki for
raising the convenience of CONFIG_LIDS_ALLOW_LFS, and other LIDS users.
LIDS 1.2.2rc1 can be downloaded from http://www.lids.org
Finally, as usual, please enjoy, give it a try, and report any bugs.
Any comments are welcome as well. :-)
Regards,
purna
