For all of you that are going to be doing this iproute2 setup, it is
important to read that footnote at the bottom!!

route patch page. They will make things nicer to work with."
Without that kernel patch it's not a solution that will fix itself
automagically! So patch your kernel with Julian's code and forget your
worries :)
