    That's an interesting point. What about the Linux distributions using
    ports like *BSD, e.g. Gentoo, Crux or Rock Linux? Do they have
    something similar?

    Although this probably doesn't cover problems, which arise with
    updating manually installed software or updating manually edited
    configuration files in such systems. Sun's Live Update should be able
    to cope with that because of using two independent system images.

    Anyone know of any ports system using Subversion (SVN) instead of CVS?
