The /etc/security script from OpenBSD may provide some information you'd
    like to know:
    http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/etc/security?rev=1.55&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup

(Never mind that this is coming from OpenBSD and not Linux. It could be
    adapted to any system.)

    Check also mtree.
