... i'd suggest reading the soruce for bastille. when you understand
what bastille does, and how it does it, you can too. however,
understanding 'why' has to be found elsewhere.
  
    basically, anything you run has to be secure, from threats internal,
and external. as these threats dynamic in nature, security implies
ongoing attention. i tend to see bastille as a "GOOD" first step in ever
changing terrain ...
