First, I want to thank everyone who responded to my packet filter questions.
We resolved our needs by getting all the machines on the "same page" as far
as iptables where concerned and setting all the machines up so that the logs
go to a remote server which I can access from anywhere.

So far, so good, but this produces one additional security problem and leaves
one unaddressed.

1. Is there any way to encrypt all "system" mail to a specific key by
default?

2. What real-time alert system are available to notify users of security
problems as they occur.? (Most of our people are Window refugees and are used
to products like ZoneAlarm.) I've looked at apps such as firestarter, but
need the opinions of others.

Thanks.
