I think LEAF (Linux Embedded Appliance Firewall) might be useful for this
task. You could probably configure what you need and fit it all on a floppy.
There are several distributions under the LEAF umbrella. You can check them
out at

BTW: I use this for my router/firewall at home. As for commercial (aka Real
World) use, I don't have any direct experience but have read and heard of it
being used.
