Actually, the link: http://www.sourcefire.com/news/press_releases/pr032105.html states "Sourcefire, Inc., the world leader in real-time network defense, today announced that its IS3000 gigabit intrusion detection/prevention solution has been awarded the ?NSS Approved? ranking from The NSS Group."
That reads IPS to me..
