The STAT software is available! Beta-testers needed!
The STAT software is available for downloading at
http://www.cs.ucsb.edu/~rsg/STAT.
The available packages include:
- The STAT Framework: the STATL language, the STAT runtime, and basic examples
of extension modules. These components are the basis for the development of
STAT-based sensors.
- The MetaSTAT Infrastructure: CommSTAT, MetaSTAT Controller, MetaSTAT
Collector, Alert Viewer. These components are used to remotely control a
number of STAT-based sensors, to collect alerts produced in a centralized
database, and to browse the alerts through a graphic interface.
- USTAT: a UNIX host-based IDS based on the STAT framework.
- NetSTAT: a network-based IDS based on the STAT framework.
The packages are in source form. Some of the packages are in RPM binary
format. Documentation is distributed with the packages and can also be browsed
online.
The software is released under the GNU Public License.
Please send feedback to stat@cs.ucsb.edu.
