Hi everyone. Are there any known incompatabilities between OpenSSH 3.0.2p1
clients and OpenSSH 3.6.1p2?
I have a user using a program called WRQ Reflections for Unix and Digital 10.0
that has an OpenSSH client. It identifies itself as version 3.0.2p1 when it
tries to connect to a server, but the connection never seems to complete when
using SSHv2 protocol when connecting to OpenSSH 3.6.1p2 running on RedHat
Enterprise 3.
This is all I see in the logs on the server:
Connection from x.x.x.x port 1541
debug1: Forked child 3850.
debug1: Client protocol version 2.0; client software version OpenSSH_3.0.2p1
debug1: match: OpenSSH_3.0.2p1 pat OpenSSH_2.*,OpenSSH_3.0*,OpenSSH_3.1*
debug1: Enabling compatibility mode for protocol 2.0
debug1: Local version string SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_3.6.1p2
debug2: Network child is on pid 3851
debug3: preauth child monitor started
debug3: mm_request_receive entering
debug3: monitor_read: checking request 0
debug3: mm_answer_moduli: got parameters: 1024 2048 8192
debug3: mm_request_send entering: type 1
debug2: monitor_read: 0 used once, disabling now
debug3: mm_request_receive entering
debug3: monitor_read: checking request 4
debug3: mm_answer_sign
debug3: mm_answer_sign: signature 0x8098740(143)
debug3: mm_request_send entering: type 5
debug2: monitor_read: 4 used once, disabling now
debug3: mm_request_receive entering
Is there a known incompatability between these two versions? Is anyone else
using the Reflections SSH client and having problems?
