The SFTP protocol is defined and maintained by the IETF (www.ietf.org). It
is currently in "draft" status. The latest document is at
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-secsh-filexfer-05.txt
This defines version 5 of the SFTP protocol. Note that this version number
is independent of the version number for SSH. The document includes a
change history.
