assuming you are using openssh on Unix/Linux - its the same server.
underlying security is from the OS though - so W2K on NTFS can have
permissions locked down properly if you make the effort, and of course the
server is only as secure as your weakest password (edit /etc/passwd to
remove any usernames you don't want to have available via cygwin)
