Hello all.
We are running OpenSSH 3.5p1 on Solaris 2.6 and 8 servers and some
people sometimes gets a problem with hung connections.
The easiest way to notice if when someone opens up a xterm window and by
using -e executes ssh and in that way gets connected to a remote system.
The person in question does some normal work, runs a few commands and so
on and then by CTRL+D exits the session.
The problem is that the connection to the other machine is not closed.
ssh seems to be hanging there, with a force close of the xterm the
problem is solved but some of my fellow workers gets a bit frustrated by
this.
I know this can happen if you start some daemon or background process
and then try to leave the session but it happends in other cases as
well.
The logfiles has not been of any help at all even when set to debug
level and I have no way of forcing this behaviour. I just thought I
write out here and see if anyone else have experienced the problem.
