I am trying to run a Java app on a machine which I have ssh'ed into, and
X is forwarded over that connection. When I start up the application
(which is Sun's Sun Management Center console), the windows show up on
my local display, but no content appears in them. If I move another
window slowly in front of the Java app's window, the content will
appear, although a bit broken up. The same thing happens when I run
Veritas's NetBackup GUI app (jnbSA). However, I can run Veritas's Volume
Manager GUI (vmsa) fine.
Other non java applications (like xterm, netscape, etc.) work fine over
the forwarded X connection. It just seems to be certain Java apps.
Has anyone else seen this and have a solution for it?
Gary
