The Offline NT Password Editor
------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY

DETAILS

This little program will enable you to view some information as well as
change user passwords in a Windows NT SAM user database file. Knowledge of
the old passwords is not required, although getting the database file is
up to you.

In addition this program contains a simple registry editor with full write
support and an hex-editor which enables you to fiddle around with
bits&bytes in the file on your own.

Currently, the tool only runs under Linux, but it may also compile on
other platforms.

To set a new administrator password on your NT installation you either:
1) Mount the hard drive on a Linux-box
2) Use a Linux-bootdisk or CD. One is available at:
<http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/>
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
