Perl Module File::ExtAttr Buffer Overflow

File::ExtAttr is "a Perl module providing access to the extended
attributes of files". The File::ExtAttr perl module has been found to be
vulnerable to off-by-one buffer overflow.

DETAILS

Vulnerable Systems:
* File::ExtAttr versions prior to 0.03

Immune Systems:
* File::ExtAttr version 0.03 (download

The off-by-one buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the module when
getfattr() function retrieves extended file attributes.
