TUGZip ARJ Archive Buffer Overflow
------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY
" <http://www.tugzip.com/> TUGZip is a powerful award-winning freeware
archiving utility for Windows that provides support for a wide range of
compressed, encoded and disc-image files, as well as very powerful
features; all through an easy to use application interface and Windows
Explorer integration."
TUGZip does not properly validate boundaries, allowing attackers to
execute arbitrary code using buffer overflow.
DETAILS
Vulnerable Systems:
* TUGZip version 3.4.0.0
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling an ARJ
archive containing a file with an overly long filename. This can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow.
