      Web Calendar Directory Traversal
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    SUMMARY

<http://webcalendar.sourceforge.net/> WebCalendar is a "PHP application
used to maintain a calendar for one or more persons. WebCalendar requires
a database: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or ODBC".

A vulnerability in WebCalendar allows a malicious attacker to view
arbitrary files that reside outside the bounding HTTP root directory.

    DETAILS

    Vulnerable Systems:
     * WebCalendar version 0.9.41 and prior

Use of an unchecked user provided input in the global variables allows
remote attackers to cause the product to display files that would be
otherwise inaccessible (via a directory traversal vulnerability).

    Exploit:
    http://www.example.com/webcalendar/[filename].php?user_inc=../../../../../etc/passwd

    Solution:
A fix has been published. Download the latest build.
