      Grub Distributed Webcrawling Client Clear Text Password Vulnerability
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    SUMMARY

     <http://www.grub.org/> Grub's "goal is revolutionary - to track down
    every site in the world and provide a real-time map of the Web". A
    vulnerability in the way the product stores passwords allows local
    attackers to retrieve them.

    DETAILS

    Vulnerable systems:
     * Grub client version 1.3.7

    Immune systems:
     * Grub client version 1.4.3

    Due to a vulnerability in the product, the passwords and usernames used by
    the product, are improperly protected. This means that anyone can access
    these stored passwords in their clear text form by going to the registry
    key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\GrubClient\Settings
    userEmail
    userPassword

    Solution:
    Upgrade to the latest version of Grub (preferably version 1.4.3 and above)
