Nuked Klan Arbitrary Code Execution Vulnerabilities
------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY
<http://www.nuked-klan.org> Nuked Klan is a php gateway for "clans".
Several security vulnerabilities allow a remote user to gain information
and execute arbitrary commands on the server.
DETAILS
Vulnerable versions:
Nuked Klans version 1.3beta and below
Many vulnerabilities were found in the Nuked Klan gateway. They are
exploitable by using CSS (Cross Site Scripting) attacks.
Those vulnerabilities were found in the Team, News and Links (Liens)
modules, and allow the attacker to launch arbitrary commands, link to
arbitrary files and gain sensitive information about system setup and
directory structure.
Exploit:
Attack the desired module as follows:
CSS attack:
Launch:
http://www.[nuked-klanz.site]//index.php?file={module.name}&op=[script]arbitary.script[/script]
Information Gain
Launch:
http://www.[nuked-klanz.site]//index.php?file={module.name}&op=phpinfo
Notes:
Replace "[""]" in script with "<" ">" respectively.
{module.name} = [Team | News | Liens]
Information gain might work even if scripts won't run - phpinfo gives a
detailed information about the server's configuration.
Solution:
None at this time.
