      APSR network testing tools
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    DETAILS

APSR is a network testing tool, designed to send and receive arbitrary
    network packets.
It can be used to test firewalls, routing, security and many other things.
The project is divided in two main programs: apsend to create packets and
aprecv to sniff packets. The main goal of the APSR project is to develop a
    high quality network testing tool.

Aprecv is the Network Protocol Analyzer of the APSR Project (
    <http://www.aa-security.de> www.aa-security.de). It can show over 70
common network protocols in text mode, like tcpdump, but more detailed.
Aprecv read from different interfaces and can also read pcap, iptrace and
snoop dump files. You could also write dumps in ASCII mode or as pcap dump
file. Currently aprecv binary is available for Linux as version 0.11pre2
in different architectures (IA32/IA64, PA-RISC, ARM, ALPHA).

In addition, the APSR project includes apsrserver. It designed to collect
the traffic of aprecv clients, also known as distributed sniffing. The
apsrserver binary is available for Linux as version 0.01 in different
    architectures (IA32/IA64, PA-RISC, ARM, ALPHA).
